First, the generation gap is a great hindrance. Parents were brought up with old values, old standards. Children now live in a rapidly changing world, as a result, their viewpoints are somewhat different. Consequently, parents and children can’t find something in common, parents don’t find suitable methods to guide their children.
Second, parents are inclined to expect their children to realize parents’ dreams. some parents consider singer to be an ideal job for their children because the parents are both great singers. Some others parents want their kids to study maths while kids’ interest is dancing. This leads to the limitation of children’s talent as well as the ruin of their future life.
Finally, parents’ knowledge seems not enough to provide a good education for a child’s development. Due to ceaseless development of knowledge, to meet the world requirements and enrich children’s knowlege they need to learn from different sources: the internet, books, teachers, peers and even their own experiences…
Brieftly, we can’t deny parents’ good contribution to children’s life. However, books, the internets, partners, teachers are deciding factors to children’s future success.
