HEAD vs. MIND

Hello! Good evening! How is it going?

Sometimes I get confused between mind
and head. I don?t remember but
I have seen this term used indistinctively in
the same sentence.

My sentence is the following one:

“Get that thought out of
your HEAD/MIND!”

It should be MIND ?cause thoughts
are in our mind. Not? But I think
I can use head as well. And I don?t
know why. Can I use both?

thanks indeed!

.
You can use both. Head is the container, brain is the organ, mind is the function that reveals itself in consciousness. We often use one to represent the other, a sort of metonymy.
