have someone (do)/(to do)

  1. I’ll have someone do something.
  2. I’ll have someone to do something.
    Could you please explain the difeerence in meaning between the two sentences?

I don’t think #2 is correct. For #2, you need to add something after the “someone” or use a different verb in order to use “to do”.

“I’ll have someone come over to do something.”
“I’ll have someone assigned to to something.”
“I’ll call someone to do something.”
“I’ll assign someone to do something.”
