this is an explanation based on my perception…
here it goes…

  1. In order to avoid being captured , u escape…similarly , to avoid(evade) a blow , u dodge…(blow=hit with a stick or something like that)

2.In order to avoid being recognied, u disguise urself…in order to avoid wounds(damage), u pad urslef( protection)

3.Every play has a script which tells what one should do and when…same like what a score does in an orchestra…who should play what instrument when…

4.firm=ironclad(rigid) …synonyms…similarly…smart=brilliant…simple one this is…

5.mock means to imitate in a slightly derogatory manner…
similarly, taunt is a more sarcastic challenge…
