Grammar usage; Never, never give up or never, ever give up

Which is correct:

Never, never give up or never, ever give up

I don’t think that “never, never” is wrong, but “never, ever” is more common.

But I believe the quote from Winston Churchill – that famously eloquent man – uses all the “nevers” and no “evers”.

It makes me remember the song “Pretty boy” with the statement “I never ever loved no one before you”…
