Furious

Even the most heroic heroes in all of China, [color=red]the Furious Five, bowed in respect to this great master.

-----From Kungfu Panda

The Furious Five refers to five Kungfu masters. What does “furious” mean in their title(it’s a title, right?)?

Thanks.

Furious means raging. I guess ‘the Furious Five’ refers to five men who were always furious at something such as injustice. So, they held this fury of justice with their kungfu against the iniquity. I’d think of it as a proper noun rather than as a title. It made me recall a book titled ‘The Grapes of Wrath’.

I meant to ask if “the Furious Five” was called the title of the five masters in this case. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks James.
