for it to fall

Can one say
[color=red]
a. They put a bucket on the door so that it would fall on my head when I came in.
b. They put a bucket on the door for it to fall on my head when I came in.
c. They put a bucket on the door to fall on my head when I came in.

Many thanks.

c. is a little ‘off’ as it sounds a little as if the door is going to fall on your head. The others are okay grammatically.
