Expression: 'Three months bills are due on me.'

Hi

Could you please tell me if you find the following sentences [color=red]the same?

1- I am three months behind my bills.
2- Three months bills are due on me.

Regards

Tom

PS: Is my use of “the same” correct and natural here?

Hi Tom

I just plain don’t like your second sentence.

I’d add a preposition to your first sentence:

I am three months behind on my bills.

Amy

I’d rewrite the second sentence like this:

Three months’ bills are due.

  • “on me” is unnecessary
  • “months’” needs to be possessive – the bills of three months = three months’ bills
