'ed' and 'ing'

Pay attention to the following sentences:

  1. The work is boring.
  2. I meet all kinds of interesting people.
  3. My clients are working people.
  4. I was very excited to meet him.
  5. I am really tired.

I want to know when the ‘ing’ and when the ‘ed’ should be used?

Personally I think that 'ing’s are used to describe feelings and 'ed’s - are used to describe things, situations, etc.

No, it’s vise versa. Smth can be “interesting”, “boring”,“tiring”,“exciting”…And people are bored, tired, excited… of smth
But note: He is bored of this film( because the film is boring)
He is boring( means HE is dull)
