During the summer vs In summer

Hi everyone,

A - I’d like you to come for an interview with our company.
B - But I sent you a CV more than six months ago!
A - I know. I apologise, but we’re always busy during the summer.

Right. Could I also say “I apologise, but we’re always busy in summer”?

Thanks in advance. Bye bye

I would say “in the summer”, but people do use “in summer”, and it is acceptable.

Hi Dozy, thanks.
