Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university library. Use specific reasons and examples.
Some people would like to enjoy sport facilities at the universities and prefer to give the same amount of money to the sport activities. In my opinion, the main aim of university is to educate the students. Taking into account this point I would like to see universities pay more attention to increasing book resources of its library and provide the students who take education at the university with easy usage of these resources.
To begin with, a library should provide students with necessary books that their professor instructed them to read. There are some universities’ libraries where students have difficulties to find necessary books for preparation their lessons. These students go to other public libraries and search the required books on the Internet that causes the waste of time. In addition, books from internet cost for the students a lot of money. Instead of spending the same amount of money on the sport activities at the universities, it would be better to buy the new released books and give it for the usage of the students.
Furthermore, universities should provide libraries with electronic version of all books that it have. Usually during examination periods some students have difficulties to reach the required book because his or her group mates have taken the same book for preparation. In order to avoid such kind of situations the university can have electronic version of all books in the library and students of university could be given password to use the library resources and the students can study at home. This could be beneficial and students would be more educated and spend more time on their education.
In summary, the students who want to spend more time on sport activities and to use different sport facilities can go to the public gymnasiums. The students need to be educated at the universities. In order to achieve to this target the students need to have wealthy library resources and facilitated usage mechanisms.
