Can sb explain about the difference between viewpoint and notion?
And in this sentences , which word will be chose?

A notion is a loose concept or idea that has been created by somebody else other than you. A viewpoint is an opinion or understanding of something you have arrived at yourself by thinking about it. Notion is my choice 
In this context, many people is other person giving/believing opinion, so notion is preferred, I could understand from Sir Torston explanation.
