You can say either house or home. I’d probably choose house, however.
The word anima would probably mainly be used by psychologists. (And I’m not a psychologist.)
The word soul would be the word used by “normal” people like us.
If you’re talking about a “bullet from a gun” when you write “a shot”, then I would say:
He died from a shot to the head. (noun)
– OR –
He was shot in the head. (passive verb)
A lost soul is someone who is severely “damaged” or ruined, i.e., that person can no longer be helped. It could be morally, physically, or maybe even emotionally. A “lost soul” hasn’t necessarily died and “gone to live with the devil” in pergatory, a lost soul could also be a person who finds himself in a living hell.
*Home refers to a dwelling place together with the family or social unit that occupies it; a household, however; *house refers to a structure serving as a dwelling for one or more persons, especially for a family.
It’s useful to note that ‘house’ is essentially the structure/the building. ‘Home’ on the other hand is a concept/an image of the place where you live.
