Folks,
Can anyone tell me what are the differences among these 3 words - rookie, novice & apprentice? For me all these 3 carry quite the same meaning. :? Appreciate if anyone of you can help!

Same meaning, but they are used in different collocations: rookie (cop), apprentice (carpenter), novice (monk).
.
Many thanks, MM.
Your answer created a question in my mind.
Could you please tell me the difference here between:
Tom
.
‘The’ is correct English. My use of ‘same’ without the article is casual-- my whole sentence is. In a proper book, it would read [They have the] Same meaning…
.
Thanks MM, so I can’t use apprentice/ novice when I want to refer to a person at a corporate? But I heard many people are using it here though I’m not sure whether or not it’s correct to use that!!
.
You can use any of them-- use whatever your co-workers use. But novices are usually people who cannot do things well, apprentices are helpers in a trade, and rookies are usually new military/ law enforcement staff or athletes.

Got it now!! Thanks a lot MM.
