Did she dig yesterday?

:blossom: In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. :blossom:

Hi!

A: What’s she doing with the shovel?
B: She’s digging a ditch.
A: Has she dug a ditch before?
B: Yes, she has dug a ditch before. She’s dug lots of ditches.
A: Did she dig yesterday?
B: Yes, she dug yesterday.

Is “dig” short for “dig a ditch” in this sentence OR not?

Thank you

It’s implied that she dug a ditch yesterday.

If she dug something else they should have said that.
