Describing a photo (1)

Hello there,

I’m studying by myself describing a picture everyday. Please check the three sentences below and tell me whether they are okay or not!

A baby is sleeping on his dad’s chest.
He has his fist clenched.
His dad is sleeping on the sofa, too.

If there are more expressions describing them, please let me know!

Thank you in advance,
sweetpumpkin

These are all very good. Maybe “The dad is wearing a yellow shirt; the baby is wearing a blue onesie.” “The father is holding the baby in his arms.”

Let’s suppose the sex of the baby is unknown and in this case can we say as follows:

A baby is sleeping on its dad’s chest.
It has its fist clenched.
Its dad is sleeping on the sofa, too.

Even a baby is not an “it”. In my experience, often babies of unknown gender are referred to as “she” by default. If you are asking a mother when her baby is due, I think it is much more polite to say “When is the baby due?” than “When is it due?”
