committee and family, couple

Are these nouns used with plural verbs or singular ones?

It would also be good to get into the habit of posting all relevant information within the post rather than in the thread title, which is sometimes awkward to read.

committee and family, couple can all take either verb form.

Thank you for reminding me of the rules.
Then, when do I use what?

Use the singular when the text is referring to a single group action and use the plural when it refers to the several actions of the several individuals within the group. ‘Our family is going to Hawaii’ vs ‘Our family are always fighting’.

Thank you master. Hope to be helped by you more.
