- Is the place where you live a nice place?
- Is the place where you live, a nice place?
- Is the place, where you live, a nice place?
How can I use comma in this sentence?
All are OK or not?
Please guide me.
#1 is OK. “where you live” defines which place is meant.
In #3, “where you live” is inserted in a parenthetical (non-defining) way. Though this punctuation structure is possible, it seems rather unlikely in this particular case. In this case you would almost always intend “where you live” to define “place”.
#2 is not correct.
