Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies.
Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing.
Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?
In this day and age, the acquisition of knowledge cannot be neglected and is essential to every human being. Therefore, some suggests that the young should start schooling early and consume most of their time on syllabuses. Nonetheless, others intend to give the children joyful moments of playing before heading for schoollife. On my side of view, I tend to agree with the former.
According to many research, young children have the ability to learn and absorb new things more quickly than adults. It is said that the earlier their potential wisdom and creativities are inspired, the more intelligent they can become. Regarding to becoming a person of achievements, studying in one’s most leisure time might be imperative. Furthermore, parents, having started lives earlier, who wish their children to live a better life, would encourage the suggestion of early schooling. It cannot be denied that education is vital and we can benefit more from the infinite range of knowledge we take in.
On the other hand, enjoying the relaxing and happy childhood while we can may seems appealing. It will be cruel to deprive the youngsters of their precious playing time when they are still imbued with naïve thoughts. Moreover, children can learn the value in friendship and how to react when playing in groups. This will in turn build up their confidence when meeting new co-workers or make them become an extroverted staff that most bosses praise in their future working life.
To conclude, given the advantage of better learning abilities, children should be time-occupied with studies as early as possible, yet well-planned extra time put in playing each day does no harm.

Thank you very much for your compliment, Kitos.
In this competitive world, we as parents think that education is very imporant for the child to develop interpersoanl skills that this will lead to a very successful life later. But we tend to forget that playing is alos imporat in the precious period of life called “childhood” as this time of childhood will never come back. So I think both studying and taking time off for playing is very important.
Firstly, children have got a great sense of grasping as compared to adults and they learn faster as well. They also have very good memory power and can indeed leave all of us behind. For example, while shopping, I just told my 2 years old daughter a name of a fruit “strawberry” and then she tried to memorise it by repeating twice or thrice. To my wonder, afetr few days, when I took to buy friuts, she is repeating strawberry after looking at that fruit in the shop. I was really surprised and was taken away by her intellual and memory power. Alos at very young age, children learn faster.
On the other hand, by playing with other/neighbour’s kids, they tend to develop interpersoanl skills and learn how to share things, be cooperative and lear to mingle with other children. Playing also help them exercise and this very imporatnt as we have seeing kids suffering from obesity like dieases. Also if children tend to fall and get uop themselves and this makes them at least independent in life. By expoing them to fresh air can really boost up their immunity and health.
So in my opinion, both studies and playing are important for children’s development.
