These microorganisms can produce silver nano particles in well-defined and desired sizes with fungi being paid special attention because of their more abundant nitrate reductase enzyme than other microorganisms. Because this enzyme reduces silver ions leading to the formation of silver nano particles. Even so, silver nano particles may be potentially toxic at certain concentrations and can cause various health problems if misused. Thus, it is necessary to address the bio safety of silver nano particles in human health.
