Can I say do hired labour or perform hired labour?

Can I say
do hired labour
or
perform hired labour?

Thanks

Hi Twin
Both sound strange to me.

I mean, “hired labour” would usually refer to a “workforce” or “worker” rather than to the “work”, wouldn’t it?

Amy

I was afraid of such an answer. Could we use hired work instead of hired labour? Which of the nouns would sound better to you - do or perform?

Perhaps I was apprehensive of such an answer would be better.

Hi Twin

I’d like it better as “hired work” and would probably pick “do” as a standard. “Perform” would sound a little more formal, but should also be also OK.
