Can elaborate more the word do, does, and did?

I`m having a hard time to know how to use the word do, does and did? Can you kindly elaborate more on how to use do, does and did? Thanks, i really appreciate it.

Hello, Merella, and welcome aboard!

Your question is too vague – that’s probably why it has remained unanswered so far.

Do: present simple for I, you, we, they
Does: present simple for he, she, it
Did: past simple; same form for all persons

I’m aware this is too succinct and incomplete, but I’m at a loss as to what exactly you are asking.

Dictionaries provide exhaustive examples for the use of the verb.

Hey there! Yes, I completely agree with Conchita, you should’ve expanded on that a bit more. But let us be reminded of this: do, does and did can be used either as a verb or as an auxiliary, or as part of a short affirmative answer. For instance:

Do you like apples? Yes, I do.

Does John go to Homework Club on Tuesdays? Yes, he does.

Did John Lennon write “Imagine”? Yes, he did.

Hope the picture’s clearer by now, Merella!

Considering that both the question and answer were posted in 2006, I don’t think anyone
is interested any more.
