can anyone please explain me?

What is meant by ‘need airing’. Recently, i have come across one journal and the title says ‘Negative results need airing too’. I’m keen to about this. Please explain me and thank you in advance.

It means that there should be a discussion about negative results as well. ‘Negative results should be discussed too’.

PS: Please note that your sentence should read ‘Please explain it to me’.

Thank you very much Torsten…i have one more doubt…‘Please explain me’ and ‘Please explain it to me’ are different??

The phrase ‘please explain me’ does not exist in English. Also, please note the correct spelling of the personal pronoun “I”. Many thanks, Torsten

Mr. Torsten,
May I say:
“Could you explain to me?” without adding ‘it’?

Dear Torsten,

Your explanation is very clear. Can I add still few words?
Air can be a noun and a verb. We rarely meet with it than a verb. Recently I met with it in a text so I looked up in the dictionary.

to air = can be use when we speak about clothes when we put the clothes outside to air.
-I put the sheet to air well.
-Leave the towels out to air-= to dry
about a room = to allow the fresh air into a room
opinions- I think now the question is about it.
to air an opinion= to express it publicly
radio/tv programme= air sth= to broadcast a programme on the radio or on television. This meaning similar the previous one.
