British and American expressions

Hi, this is my first time here and I?m not sure how it works yet.
I?d like to talk about English expressions and idioms. If I learn one of them is it the same to say it with american people or british people or even people from either english speaking country?

Dear Ariel,

Many thanks for your intersting question. As you know, English is spoken in many different countries and regions such as the UK, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, parts of India and of course and a great number of other countries.
People always come up with new expressions and phrases and when you search the Internet for English idioms you will find a lot of resources.
