There are many intereting legends about Middle Autumn Festival , here is the one of the legend.
One of the Mid-Autumn Legend - Moon
According to legend, in ancient times there are 10 suns appeared in the sky at the same time , tan crops withered ,the masses have no means to live, a hero named Hou Yi, with infinitely power , he sympathize the suffering people, boarded the Kunlun Peak, transportation divine foot, pull the bow of God , shot down nine suns, and ordered the last sun rise and fall time, benefit the people.
Hou Yi so respected and loved by the people, Hou Yi married a beautiful and kind-hearted wife named Chang-e. In addition to hunting Hou Yi accompany his wife all the day, people are envious of this loving couple.
Many people come here to learn skills, evil intents Peng Meng also mixed in.
One day, Hou Yi and friends seeking the correct path to the Kunlun Mountains, they ruan into the Queen Mother , they would seek the Queen Mother of a pack of elixir. It is said that the drug dose can immediately go to heaven immortal. However, Hou Yi could not bear leaving his wife, so he asked Chang E. to treasure up the elixir , Chang E hid the drug in the dresser, but the villain Peng Meng saw it , he wanted to steal the elixir.
Three days later, Hou Yi mobilize believers to go out hunting, Peng Meng dismal pretend illness, stayed. Soon everyone was gone with Hou Yi, Peng Meng intruded the backyard holding a sword into the inner chamber, coercion Chang E to hand over elixir. Chang-e know that she is not the rival to Peng Meng, so at the critical moment she turned open the treasure box, took out elixir swallowed. Chang-e swallowed drugs, the body immediately floated off the ground, out of the window, flew to the sky. As Chang-e worried about her husband, then fly to the moon from the earth .
In the evening, Hou Yi returned home, the maid who cried saying what happened during the day . Hou Yi scared and angry, took out sword want to kill the bad guy, but Peng Meng escaped early, Hou Yi angry crying in the corner, distraught, looking up at the night sky, calling the name of his beloved wife, when he was surprised to find, the moon today is especially bright, but there is a shaking of the figure resembles the Chang-e. He tried to chase toward the moon, but he went three steps, three steps back the moon, he was back three steps, three steps into the moon, but also fail to recover, no matter how near.
Hou Yi helpless, and miss his wife, Chang E .Only sent maid to the rear garden which is Chang E favorite, put on the incense table, put her favorite fruit and food to express his missing . People who heard about the news , have furnishings incense table to pray for good luck to the good peace.
Since then, the custom of Mid-Autumn Festival spreaded out.
Middle Autumn Festival to eat moon cake, is China’s folk customs and traditions. Throughout the ages, people regard moon cake as a symbol of reunion and auspicious.

I took an online English course yesterday via Skype ,and took a test to test my English level . The teacher correct my pronunciation and intonation , I think it’s very useful , so I’m considering if attend this course ( 120 classes in 6 months ), and try to compare the service between a few companies .if I decide to take the course ,maybe I will very busy and have less time to come to this forum , off course I will try to come here often ,but the frequency will dorp .

At last I’ve got news about you. You can be really busy because I haven’t seen your letters recently. Yesterday I spoke on Skype with Mujibur and I wasn’t satisfied with myself because I realized I can’t express very simple things. For example: My husband had to go to our countryside house. Till now would have been okay. But Mujibur asked: why? And my mind has stopped, I should have said: " The security company called us that our security system in our countryside house began to alarm. They controlled our house, they said a burglary didn’t happen, so it could be only a mistake in the system. It meant that the alarm-relay were hooting without stopping. My husband had to call up the technician whether he was able to come or not to our countryside house. And my husband had to leave from Budapest. By sheer luck that the technician had 2 free hours. They met in our county house. The underlined words didn’t come into my mind that’s why we can’t speak uninerruptedly.
I found out we have to practice the most simple expressions if we want to speak fluently, didn’t we?

I’m doing fine .Thanks. Sorry ,I wish I could ,but I have to work at the coming weekend . 1st Oct is our National day and we have a whole week’s leave from 1st Oct. to 7th Oct , and we back to work on 8th Oct , because we shift the work day , we need to work 7 days after the holiday finished . After a long holiday , there must many things waiting me to deal with .It’s a wonderful idea to have a Skype coversation , hope I will not miss any more sessions . You are right. When I do my everyday chore I think always how I can say these things in English.
For example before yesterday I have to do lot of domestic chore. On the process of preparing food I have to do lot of things:
to prepare the ingredients
to weight out them on kitchen scales
to wash/rinse them under running water in a strainer
to chop, slice, cut the carrots,onions,potatoes on a chopping board
to peel them with a knife
to grate them on a grater
to remove/ discard the bones/seeds/ skin
to blend/combine/mix (together)the flour and the water/all the ingredients in a mixing-bowl with a mixer
to beat/whisk the cream/eggs/egg whites with a manual whisk or electric whisk
to kneed,shape/ roll (out) dough (dough= mixture of flour, water etc that is made into bread pastry)
to kneed= press and stretch dough with the hands to form a smooth paste
to leave the dough to rise, cover it with a kitchen-cloth/dish-towel
to turn the dough out onto a lightly flowered surface or a board
to roll out/stretch the dough with a rolling-pin
to preheat/heat the oven and put the dough on the greasy and floury baking tin
to bring the soup to the boil
to thicken the sauce/ the soup with a little flour
to stir constantly/gently with a wooden spoon
to reduce the heat
to simmer sth =to cook sth by keeping it almost at boiling point
to simmer gently for twenty minutes/until by reduced by half
to melt the butter/ chocolate/cheese/sugar be careful not catch in the pan/ not to burn

You letter remind me one thing that happened to me , we bought one of our co-workers who came from Egypt to have dinner at a restaurant . At that moment , we deeply realized that we didn’t know how to introude the cold dish , dessert and mairn course to our foreign friend, since we don’t the name what we want to introuduce or we just don’t know the words that we glanced it in dictionalry once before ,but we can’t find out at that moment .
So let’s try to dercible our daily life and share to each other . Or if we find a useful dialogue that close to our daily life . please share it to all of us in this thread .
This word “chore” in you letter we can’t use it often , we often say " housework "
and I have learnt some useful words in it : strainer, chopping board ,dough,and etc.
In China , we ofthen use these simple seasonings garlic 、ginger、shallot、 vinegar、sauce、salt and hot pepper to make delicious food .
Hope to here more of letter that describe your daily life .
