Big head

Hello Majibur,

Nopales are very good for your health, you can check the following link:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nopal

I recommend shaving the leaves first ; - ) careful with that, the spines are pretty painful once they are in your skin and need to be removed.

Can you upload a picture of your Nopales?

I will upload the latest pictures of the Nopales I planted to the personal gallery as soon as I have some time to dedicate to it.

I see that you have been very active with exercises too on this page.

Warm regards,

Ozzy

Dear Kati,

I am sorry to hear that four friends passed away, that is hard to bear at once.

Your new slogan made me do some research and I found this link:

Ozzy

Hello Kati,
It’s great to see your letter here . I miss you very much and want to know what happened to you since I haven’t see your letter for several days. I’m going to send you a private message , now it’s not necessary .
I’m really sorry to hear that bad things happened to you------four of your friends died. May I know the reason ? Did they died of accident or war ? Dear ,hope you are fine soon ,we must accept finite disappointment ,but we must never lose infinite hope .

Yes , Shanghai is a very modern city , I had been to there 5 years ago to relax after I broke up with my boyfriend . It’s very beautiful , but if you have time to go to Shanghai ,I suggest you go to Shuzhou as well ,it adjoins Shanghai .It’s a good place to spend holidays with archaic gardens .

My work is goes smoothly , I like it and my partners are very kind . I’m very lucky, good things always happen to me . I must use English at my work ,English is my work language, since most of my work-windows cant’ speak Chinese , I have to communicate with them in English ,often accompany with a hug time difference . So most of time we keep contact via e-mail , only urgent things I will call them on the phone . I’m not a eloquent person ,I used to express myself in writing not in speaking .

My mother is fine and she rest at home .But she always try to find something to do , as she feels uncomfortable if she has nothing to do . How about your husband ?
Yes , you have told me ,your husband is an artist-painter. Does he good at oil painting ? I once worked in a oil painting company as a plan and material control manager , I like oil painting very much . Hope you have a good harvest in Romania

Have a good day,

Jess

Hello Mujibur,

Welcome back . I’m fine .I got a flu last week and had a fever in the middle night ,but now I’m come back to fine . thank you dear . You ? Hope you are fine too.

Eid festivity ? I know something about Ramadan ,and one of my friends send me a slide introuduce it . So after the Eid festivity, it marks the end of Ramadan . I think you must be very busy now and much work waiting you .

May I know more about Muslim’s holiday ?

Take care ,
Jess

Dear Ozzy,

The link related to edibility of nopales is very helpful to satisfy my urge. I’ve gone through the detailed information including the video of cooking nopales provided in the link. I’m very happy to learn that nopales are rich in vitamins and minerals and is a beneficial food for maintaining sound healths. I’ll cook nopales from my garden and let you know my derived experiences. I’m really happy to be aware about this Mexican favorite food item through you!

I’m not yet an expert in uploading a picture in this forum – actually I’ve not tried it yet. Any way, I’ll try soon to post a picture of nopales from my garden.

Best regards,

Mujibur

Hello Jess,

Nice to hear that you’ve recovered from the flu attack! The hot spell here in Bangladesh has affected lot of people and I’m struggling against the virus by taking preventive medicine. I’m not sure if I can save myself from the virus ultimately.

You’re right after Ramadan and Eid-holiday we’ve get back to works and passing a bit busy days. During the month of Ramadan Muslims are to perform routine duties of daily life. About 3 day’s holiday is there to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitre. There is another holiday on the 27th day of Ramadan i.e. Shab-e-Qadar on which day the holy Quaran was sent in the world. Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated after 2 months and 10 days of Eid-ul-Fitre. There is one holiday 15 days before Ramadan starts called Shab-e-Barat when Allah allocates His blessings for everyone for the next year.

Thanks for attending my post and good-bye!

Mujibur

It is an amazing building, you must be proud to have the exhibition there.

Here Ozzy,

Many thanks that you corrected me. By the last evening I didn’t know that “I am a boy or a girl” and not to speak in Hungarian either. I repeated to the woman who arranged this exposition (she speaks only Hungarian) that I can’t already speak French.
And what happened? As we entered the museum she introduced me to an French art-historian woman, that " here is Kati… who speaks very well French." It’s true that twenty years ago at another exhibition I was their second interpreter in France, and I coped very well with this task. But since I forgot to speak French, I understand everything, but when I have to answer I mix the two languages.

The woman told me, that her problem is same, so she can speak French but with the English her problem is that she understands everything but speaking is very difficult to her. So - it was her idea - she spoke to me in French and I answered her in English, but my answer was tagged with French.

It was a nightmare.

Luckily to-day there will be a Romanian- Hungarian interpreter and two art-historians who speak fluently English.

It was terrible and very exhausted for me.

This happened to me, I didn’t say to anybody what terrible was this for me, everybody thought and saw that we could speak to each other very nicely.

By for now:
Kati

Hello Kati Svaby,

Glad to have your mail from Timisiora, Romania. The link has allowed us to enjoy the scenic views and the nature of the beautiful city. The great museum itself manifests how important is the exposition is! Awaiting to have the photos of your husband’s great works.

Please take care!

Mujibur

Hello Mujibur,
Thank you Mujibur. Hope the preventive medicine is effective and prevent you catching the virus .

Your explain is very useful to me . One of my colleague told me there are two Eid festivals in Muslim Countries .Now I know one is Eid-ul-Fitre and another one is Eid-ul-Azha . Does this time is fixed ?--------- Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated after 2 months and 10 days of Eid-ul-Fitre. Or will changed year by year as the start of Ramadan?

Have a good day,

Jess

Dear my friends,

Today I introduce a Chinese traditional Festival to you ----Middle Autumn Festival

On every fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, people all over China will be getting together to eat with their families, look at the moon and celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival. The Mid-Autumn day is one of the biggest festivals in the Chinese lunar calendar. It’s a time for homecoming and enjoying moon cakes.

This year’s Middle Autumn Festival falls on September 12,we will have three days off(including the weekend) .

Have a nice day,

Jess

Hello Jess,

It seems I could escape the virus attack this time some how. The medicine Paracetamol might be of help to me. For last couple of days, I tried to follow my routine life strictly: taking 4 litre water per day; not mixing any liquid with main meals; avoiding carbohydrates, fats & oils and red meats; taking lots of vegetables and fruits; intensifying number of food taking keeping daily amount of food constant; having sound sleeps for 8 hours everyday; not exposing myself to very hot or cold weather; and so on.

Possibly you know Jess that Eid festivals and other religious affairs of Islam are followed by the lunar calendar (of 355 days). That is why it varies very much with many other calendars of longer durations. You’re right that the time gap between Eid-ul-Fitre and Eid-ul-Azha can be said fixed depending on little variation on appearance of the moon.

Have a good day!

Mujibur

Hello Mujibur,

It’s great to hear that you could escape the virus attack .You have done many things in order to keep health ,please keep up your attention to your health , my dear friend Mujibur.

Thank you very much for your illumination .Now I can understand it , it’s very like Chinese traditional festivals.

Have a nice weekend ,

Jess

Hello Kati,

Are you still in Romania ? I think the exposition is finished as scheduled .Do you have some funny things share with us ? Maybe your picture …

Have a nice day,

Jess

Hello Jessy, Mujibur, Ozzy and Everybody,

We are again at home. Timisoara is a beautiful town, it’s 80 km from the Hungarian border but I’ve visited first in my life. I imagined an other picture about this town.
First I send to you pictures about the square where the museum is.

This is the gate of the museum and you can see up the placard of the exhibition. I couldn’t take a picture of the whole museum, but Ozzy helped me in downloading it.

These are two pictures in the small room.

This is the third.

Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the fourth which was at the entrance.

As this trip was very exhausting for both of us we gave up the second visit on 21th.

Have a good week-end:
Kati

Dear Jess,

Glad to know about Middle Autumn Festival on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. There must be some believes behind it other than the get together of the family members; please try to explain a bit the significance of this special occasion. And what is the speciality of the moon cakes?

You must be visiting your parents on September 12 to celebrate this biggest festival; please pass on my best regards to your parents and other family members.

Thanks,
Mujibur

Hello Kati Svaby,

CONGRATULATIONS! on your successful participation in the Timisoara exposition.

You are so commitment bound that though both of you took a very exhaustive trip to Timisoara you’re kind enough to post the pictures of museum square and of the great exhibits here.

I’m in favor of your idea of not taking the 2nd visit there on the 21st again.

The exhibits painted by your husband no doubt are the great works! I apologize that I haven’t the ability really to appraise the inherent expressions of most of the art-works. That’s why I try to go through the literary critics of the art-works presented by some authority.

Best regrds,

Mujibur

Hello kati, Majibur, Jess and other readers,

Thank you Kati for sharing those beautiful pictures, you live in a pittoresque country I could say.

The paintings of your husband surely have their story, they look amazing.

I would like to invite everybody to join the “share a useful sentence” thread to enrich it with many and different ideas.

I’m off now.

Warm regards,

Ozzy

Dear Mujibur,

I couldn’t write sooner because I took my computer to Romania but I didn’t have the Internet the last 1 1/2 days. Now I’ve just read that you had a virus attack. And I read you took Paracetemol ( I know it) and of course I copied pieces of the good advice how can we help ourselves for recovering. I hope you are well. Your Major Holiday arrived to its end but I wish the best to you afterwords. I read little about your holiday, I knew only you can’t eat during the daylight hours. One young boy wrote on the 20 seconds that it is very difficult because he is very hungry by the evening. Now I read more and I give the link to everybody who doesn’t know about Eid festival.
news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/7041752.stm
Mujibur, you are very nice when you admit that you can express your opinion about the paintings but congratulate to my husband. I told him. I think this is similarly a profession than the other work in the world. I live with my husband for 50 years but I don’t dare express my opinion about a painting, I ask always what he thinks about my opinion. I noticed that the painters can judge very well the paintings of each other. It isn’t interesting that he/she is expressive, non-figurative, abstract, constructive etc. they can notice the value of other painters. I could speak about lot. This is true and very interesting.
I am happy that you are better. And I hope I came back and I could write to those who could wrote me.

TAKE CARE:
Kati
