Undeniably, Attractive appearance plays a significant role in people’s daily lives in places where they work or play. However, in this harsh society, Attractive appearance is not the most important matter to succeed but it is a secondary factor in their life. Some people might think that an Attractive outfit is a more important factor than one’s ability, but If I were asked to answer, I would say that one’s ability is more important since this society require people’s professionalism and a variety of knowledge. this is my reason and example.
In this Information Technology society, job markets require candidates to be more professional and diligent, but they do not require them a nicer appearance. As this society is becoming more materialistic, people tend to regard the rich as a person who succeeds. In this sense, the more they have their ability such as linguistic ability or engineering, the more they live their life successfully but compared to one’s ability, their appearance seems less important in life. Take my self as an example. When I graduated high school, I got eye plastic surgery and got a skin clinic because I thought that my eyes were small and clean skin look more attractive. After I got the surgery and skincare, I thought that I could make more friends and it would be easier to get a job. But I found that nothing changed in my life and sometimes a few of my friends talked to me my eye look bigger than before. I thought that others seemed to less care about my eyes and my appearance. However, after I became a pediatric doctor, people around me started to respect me, allowing me to feel become success. After that I was able to make more effort to develop my ability, I could get along with a lot of people. If I had focused only on my appearance, I would not have succeeded in my life.
In brief, I strongly believe that one’s ability is more important than one’s attractive appearance for the reason I have mentioned above. In this regard, the importance of having important qualities needed for success can not be overestimated in life.
