arrival/reaching

Dear to whom may it concern,
[color=red]Arrival/reaching are two words of the same meaning? Would you please tell some examples about them?
Sincerely yours
Mitra

Hi Mitra,

‘Arrival’ is a noun and describes getting to somewhere as in: Our estimated time of arrival is 8.00 in the morning. ‘Reaching’ is really a participle or gerund and is used as part of a verb as in: At the moment we are reaching the centre of the town.

Alan
