Angela, you're more chipper than usual?

Hi, another phrase from ‘The Office’: Angela, you’re more chipper than usual.

Is this some kind of idiom or simply bad English ;-)?

Many thanks,

As far as I know chipper means:

lively, cheerful, in good mood, very happy

Right.

Ah, I thought ‘chipper’ was a comparative already like ‘bigger’. Now I got it. Thanks.[YSaerTTEW443543]
