all right/alright

I would like to know if both forms mean the same ( all right and alright ) or if there is a difference in meaning between them.

I personally have a strong dislike of “alright”. I think it looks illiterate. However, it is widely used and plenty of people seem to accept it, at least in informal writing. It means the same as “all right”. See also the usage notes at:
