Which of these two words do you use?

So which of these two words do you use? It seems that ‘aeroplane’ is more British while ‘airplane’ is more North American.[YSaerTTEW443543]

I agree that it’s a matter of BrE vs. AmE.
I read about this example and many others in Wikipedia.

I say “aeroplane”.

In my informal English “plane”.

If it does the job for an airline company then I call it an airliner.
