Adjective vs Pronoun

Hi Mentors,

When do we say that " Those, These, That, This " are pronoun/adjective?

Please help me.

Thank you in advance.

A pronoun replaces a noun, while an adjective appears with (usually right before) a noun, so if the noun is there too, then it is an adjective, but if there is no noun with it, then it is a pronoun:

I’ll take these socks.
I’ll take these.

What is this?
This hat is too small.

Thank you so much sir.
Now, I understand!
