Accidentally, mistakenly, by mistake

Hi All,

I want to say that:

I deleted accidentally a file from the computer.
I deleted mistakenly a file from the computer.
I deleted by mistake a file from the computer.

Which one is the most English sentence from the above?
What would you use if you was me?

Hi Attila

First I’lll correct your sentences:

  1. I accidentally deleted a file from the computer.
  2. I mistakenly deleted a file from the computer.
  3. I deleted a file from the computer by mistake.

You can use any of the sentences. I’d say I’d probably use the first one the most often. (My personal preference.)
