Hi Beeesneees,
Could you please help me with the following part?
Cancellation
Customers can cancel their reservations at any time but need to pay the following cancellation charges, which cannot be exempt for whatever reason.
30% of the tour price from the date of reservation until 5 days prior to the start date.
50% of the tour price from 4 days prior to the start date until 3 days prior to the start date.
100% of the tour price from 2 days prior to the start date.

Is “exempt” a correct expression here?
Is “to” better?
Is “By reference to” better?
Many thanks.
‘exempted’ would be correct (The person would be exempt, not the charge.) …Which cannot be repealed for whatever the reason’ would also work.
Personally I would say,
… which are mandatory whatever the reason for cancellation.
or
… which are compulsory whatever the reason for cancellation.
I would leave the rest as it is.
