please answer this question for me becdause of confusion.
which question has the correct format A University or An University

University begins with a vowel and i think An University is correct. I hear a lot of people say A University

‘A university’ is correct, because although University starts with the vowel ‘u’, it does not start with a vowel sound.

Umbrella starts with a vowel sound (ʌ)
University starts with the sound (ˌju)
