A mistake above suspicion

Here is a confusing question in the TOEIC Test #M96 :

  1. adj. number

(a) unusual
(b) anesthetized; lacking sensitivity (to pain); in shock; senseless
© clear; evident; simple; flat; smooth
(d) binding; compelling; must be done; necessary

None of the choices is fit for the given word.
As the final answer is (b) “anesthetized; lacking sensitivity (to pain); in shock; senseless”, I think the mistake is in the question. It should be " numb" but not " number".

I agree, Zishuli.

Hello Zishuli,

Please use the correct version:

english-test.net/toeic/vocab … he_TOEIC_7

adj. numb

(a) unusual
(b) anesthetized; lacking sensitivity (to pain); in shock; senseless
(c) clear; evident; simple; flat; smooth
(d) binding; compelling; must be done; necessary

Many thanks
